Happy Monday! Thank you to the Logan PTSO for organizing and hosting a wonderful Beats and Treats event last Friday! We had an incredible turn out and so much fun dancing,  playing games, and socializing! Thank you, PTSO! And thanks to this little Luigi for joining me for a picture!

Winter Giving Supports Available in Ann Arbor

Here in the Ann Arbor community, there are many supports available to families in need ( meals, gifts, clothing, and more). AAPS has consolidated the various supports on their webpage and those resources can be found here



Early Release Reminder

Tuesday, October 31, 2023 is an Early Release Day. Students will be dismissed at 1:00pm. All families must ensure that they have a plan for their children at the end of the day on early release days. 



No School Reminder

All AAPS schools are closed on Tuesday, November 7 for Election Day. There will be no school and families should plan accordingly.

I'm excited to share some wonderful news with the Logan Community. Our recent Fun Run surpassed all expectations, raising an impressive $23,000, exceeding our goal by $8,000! We're incredibly thankful for the generosity of our community. Your contributions enable our PTSO to continue hosting events like Beats and Treats, school assemblies, field trips, supporting our classrooms and teachers, and much more. Thank you, Logan Families!

Beats and Treats

Logan will host our annual Beats and Treats event on Friday, October 27, 2023, 6:00pm-8:00pm. Join us for great family fun! All games & dancing are FREE! Costumes welcome, but not required This is an ALL OUTDOOR EVENT. We still need about 50 volunteers on this day! You can volunteer by going to https://tinyurl.com/BeatsTreats23

Gretchen’s House Parking Lot Reminder

Logan families are not permitted to park in the Gretchen’s House parking lot unless you have a student enrolled in their day care, preschool, or school age childcare programs. Please be advised that Gretchen’s House will tow vehicles that are parked illegally in their lot. Logan families are welcome to park in our parking lot or to use street parking along Traver Blvd. Thanks in advance for your cooperation.

As we are headed into the Winter season, which also may be known as cold/flu/COVID season, the Ann Arbor Public Schools (AAPS) is looking for substitute teachers and paraeducators to support our classrooms.  If you are a passionate person who enjoys connection with students EduStaff is looking for you.  Substitute positions are necessary and meaningful work that enriches the lives of students in our community. Logan Fun Run Week!!! 

Thank you to everyone who has donated to support our Logan PTSO. In the PTSO eBackpack, families will find information about the Logan Fun Run. This is an important fundraiser for our PTSO. Money raised through this event helps fund many of the great activities that occur throughout the year, and I encourage families to participate. Please take time to read through the details in the PTSO blog, and thanks in advance for your support! 


The Fun Run will be held on Wednesday, October 11, 2023. Families are welcome to come cheer for your child(ren). The schedule for the day is listed below so you can come when your child is running. We hope to see you there!

Fun Run Support for AAPS Title 1 Schools

We are so grateful for the support of the Logan community for our Fun Run.  Fun Runs are a common way for schools across the district to raise money through their PTSOs. The Ann Arbor PTO Council and I invite Logan families to consider supporting some of the Title I schools in AAPS.. Below is a list of schools that are raising funds through a Fun Run.
