AAPS In-District Transfer Window and School of Choice Application Windows

The second In-District Transfer (IDT) window opens tomorrow, Tuesday, May 11. It will remain open until May 27 at 5:00pm. The first School of Choice (SOC) application window is anticipated to be between June 7 and June 30 (pending Board of Education approval). Please visit the enrollment website at a2schools.org/enrollment to apply and for further information about enrollment.

AAPS Full Fall 2021 Back to School Opening – Correction

I’ve received several inquiries about next school year. AAPS has not yet posted the 2021-2022 calendar, but I can let you know that we are tentatively planning for a start date of Monday, August 30. Schools will be closed for Memorial Labor Day weekend on Friday, September 3 and Monday, September 7. I anticipate the school day returning to the 8:56am-3:59pm schedule. I hope to have these dates and times officially confirmed by AAPS soon.

Additionally, Dr. Swift shared the following key details for our back to school planning at the most recent board meeting. We are planning for a full 5 days per week in-school learning taught by AAPS teachers. Families will still have a virtual option if they choose, but there will be no hybrid instruction in Fall 2021. Spring enrollment is ongoing. If you know of anyone considering Logan, please encourage them to apply as soon as possible to help with our planning next year. We anticipate another in-district transfer and school of choice window to open in the near future.

COVID Testing Available Every Saturday

AAPS will host COVID-19 drive-thru testing every Saturday between now and the end of the year at Huron High School, 12:00pm until 3:00pm. No symptoms needed!

  • All ages welcome. Minors must be registered by a parent/guardian.
  • This is a saliva PCR test. Please do not eat or drink 30 minutes before testing.
  • Results are usually returned in 1-2 days.
  • Please enter Huron at the Huron Parkway entrance.
  • Please see this flyer for registration information

Logan Yearbook Reminder

We’re a little closer to raising enough money for our yearbook. Even though we will have spent most of the year learning online, we are still creating a yearbook for our Logan Leopards, and it is going to be awesome! As we have in previous years, we will be providing a yearbook to all Logan students, but we need some help. In previous years, we used money from school pictures to pay for a yearbook for each student. Since we do not have school pictures this year, we are asking all families who are able to purchase a yearbook for $10. If you are able, we are asking families to donate an additional $10 to pay for another student’s yearbook whose family may not have the resources to purchase for their child. We plan to distribute a yearbook to every Logan Leopard! Help us make this possible and consider donating. See the attached flyer for more information.

Logan Heritage Festival – A message from our Heritage Festival Committee

Hello Logan Families!

Consider adding a reflection of your heritage on this year's Kudoboard! Share a part of what is special to your family by adding a picture or uploading a video. The board will officially be shared during our virtual Heritage Festival the week of May 24th. We look forward to seeing everyone's contributions!
