ACTION REQUIRED: Parent Input for 2022-2023 Class Placements
We are beginning the process of creating class lists for the 2022-2023 school-year. Please let us know if you are returning to Logan next year by completing this form. You can also provide some input about your child’s class placement for next year. We consider many factors when we are creating class lists including: academic and social factors, students who require additional support (ex: ELL, Special Education Services, Reading Intervention,) ethnicity, gender, and more. The information on this form will also be shared with your child’s current teacher as well as next year's teacher to help plan for a successful start in the fall. Please know that we value your input and want to hear from everyone. However, our primary obligation is to develop class lists that are balanced and will best serve ALL students. Therefore, we cannot guarantee any specific placements or requests. Please refrain from requesting specific teachers as we cannot honor these requests. Please complete the form by Friday, April 22, 2022.
Bus Service Fully Restored
Dr. Swift announced that bus service will be fully restored starting today. All buses are running again, and there are no suspended routes. Resuming all buses means that Logan will return to our normal dismissal procedures. All students will remain in class until the end-of-day bell rings at 3:48pm. The Logan staff will still be outside entering Driveline numbers and ensuring a safe and orderly dismissal. Please remember to be safe and patient when picking your children up from school and to follow our dismissal procedures correctly. Thank you in advance for your continued cooperation! If you have any questions about dismissal, feel free to let me know. If you have questions about bus service, you can contact Transportation directly at 734-994-2330, ext 1.

A request from Mrs. Magar in the Art Room
The art room would like to request lego bricks for our architecture center. Gently used instruction guides and postcards of famous buildings are also welcome!
M-STEP
All students in third, fourth and fifth grade will be taking the M-STEP this spring. Students in third and fourth grade will take English Language Arts (ELA) and Math tests. Students in fifth grade will take an ELA, Math, Science, and Social Studies test. Classroom teachers will communicate test schedules to their families. Please help your children do their best by ensuring a good night of rest and a healthy breakfast on test days. We are also asking families to do your best to have your child at school on test days. Our test windows are relatively short, and we are trying to avoid large numbers of make-up tests. Please see the attached letter from Matt Hilton, Executive Director for Elementary Education with additional details on the M-STEP.
