Happy New Year and welcome back to school! We hope you had a restful and joyful winter break filled with special moments with loved ones. We are looking forward to 2025 with our Logan Leopards.

“New Logan” Update

2025 is going to be an exciting year for Ann Arbor Public Schools! Groundbreaking on the new Logan Elementary School will take place in Spring 2025; and a specific date will be announced in the new year. Updates regarding the construction timeline, what to expect on campus in the coming months, and safety and relevant school operational impacts will be posted on the website www.A2SchoolsBond.org. AAPS 2025-26 Enrollment

Neighborhood pre-enrollment for the 2025-2026 school year will open on Tuesday, January 7th. Students in grades Y5 through 12 who will be new to the AAPS district for the 2025-26 school year will be eligible to complete their pre-enrollment for their zoned school. Families can look up which school they are zoned for by accessing our Attendance Area by Street Directory. 


January 7th through February 13th will be the first In-District Transfer window open for the year for grades Y5, 9, 10, and 11 (IB only at Huron). In-District transfers are for those who live in the Ann Arbor Public Schools attendance area but seeking enrollment in a school that is not their zoned neighborhood school. 

***Families who are currently enrolled at Logan do not need to apply for In-District Transfer. Only families who wish to attend a different school would need to apply. 

Information about additional In-District Transfer and Schools of Choice windows will be posted on the Enrollment page when available. Questions can be directed to enroll@a2schools.org.



Young 5s/Kindergarten Round Up

As we enter the new year, it’s not too early to start thinking about some of our youngest students who will start their AAPS experience as kindergarten and young fives students in the fall of 2025. Kindergarten Round-Up events are scheduled throughout the month of February and March at all elementary schools and K-8 buildings. We are excited to share with families the fun that awaits your children, meet our school staff, learn about the programs, the enrollment process and get answers to your questions. 


Logan’s Round Up will be on Wednesday, February 12, 2025 from 6:00pm until 7:30pm. This event is designed for both children and adults. Families will have time to learn about our programs at Logan while children get to spend time in our classrooms with Logan’s incredible staff.  If you plan to enroll a child in either Young 5s or Kindergarten for the 2025-2026 school-year, we hope to see you there! Please help us spread the word if you know any families planning to attend Logan next year.

  • Monday, January 20 - No School - MLK Day

  • Monday, January 20 - Logan Service Day, 11:00-1:00 (Details coming soon)

  • Wednesday, January 29 - Early Release Day, 1:00 pm dismissal

  • Wednesday, February 5 - Logan Science Fair

  • Wednesday, February 12 - Spring Student Count Day

  • Wednesday, January 12 - Kindergarten Round Up at Logan, 6:00-7:30pm

  • Friday, February 14 - Tuesday, February 18 - Mid-Winter Break

  • Wednesday, February 19 - School Resumes
