Dear Logan Families,
As we head into Thanksgiving break, I wish every family a restful, joy-filled holiday. I am deeply grateful for your ongoing partnership, support, and trust from our Logan community! Enjoy this time together, and we look forward to welcoming everyone back refreshed and ready to learn.
We’ve had a lot of fun here at Logan this past week. On Wednesday, November 19, Cirque AmongUs visited Logan and gave a fantastic performance. Two performers put on a circus arts show with unicycling, juggling, balancing acts, and more. Students loved seeing a live performance and were mesmerized by the tricks. Thank you, Cirque AmongUs and thank you to the Logan PTSO for sponsoring another great event for our Logan Leopards!
We were also thrilled to welcome Justice Haynes, Running Back for the University of Michigan football team, back to Logan to visit our third-grade classrooms. He read a story to each class, answered students’ questions, and signed autographs. The kids loved every minute of it. Thank you to Justice for taking the time to inspire our students.

Report Cards Coming Home
Report cards will be sent home digitally on Tuesday after school. Students in grades K-5 will also receive Fall NWEA reports. Any student who has an IEP will receive a paper copy of their progress reports on their IEP goals as well. These progress reports will be sent home in students’ backpacks on Tuesday.
Please note that the Ann Arbor Public Schools adopted a new reading curriculum this year called Arts & Letters. This rigorous, knowledge‑and‑skill building program raises expectations for critical thinking and reading stamina. Because it introduces new demands, some students may show lower scores at first while they adjust and build stamina — an expected short‑term dip during implementation rather than a sign of lower overall ability. With continued instruction and practice, students’ skills and stamina should grow over time, supporting long‑term success. If you have questions about your child’s report or progress, please contact your child’s teacher.
Crosswalk Safety
A quick reminder to families who use the car line: please do not stop in the crosswalk that connects the parking lot to the sidewalk. Staff members are on duty to assist students and keep traffic moving. Your full attention and cooperation help keep everyone safe. Thank you for helping us safely and efficiently manage pick-up and drop-off.
Winter Giving
As we approach the holiday season, there are opportunities to support families at Logan and throughout the Ann Arbor Public Schools (AAPS).
