Dear Logan Families,
Last week we were excited to welcome Leslie Science Center to Logan for a presentation about Michigan animals. They brought a variety of Michigan native species to Logan. Students loved seeing the different animals and learning about species native to our state. Many thanks to our Logan PTSO for sponsoring another great event for our Logan students.

Come Check the Lost and Found
Families, please take a moment to come check the Lost and Found items to claim anything that may belong to your child. Any items remaining in the Lost and Found after December 19th will be donated. Thank you for helping us reunite these belongings with their owners!
Visitor Pickup Reminder
A quick reminder: families must sign students out at the office when picking them up during the school day. This is especially important during classroom celebrations. If you need to pick up a child from a different classroom than the one you are visiting, please come to the office so we can call each student’s classroom. Students must be signed out in the office before leaving campus.
YOU’RE INVITED!!! Logan Winterfest - Friday, December 12!!!
Logan PTSO has organized Winterfest, a fun evening of FREE outdoor ice skating and hot chocolate at Buhr Park Skating Rink!
PTSO will cover the costs for admissions, skate rental and a warm beverage from the Good Sense Coffee Truck parked on site.
Skating will be from 5:00 - 7:00PM. Skating will be on rotation like last year (first arrivals from 5:00 - 6:00PM, followed by the second group from 6:00 - 7:00PM) to avoid overcrowding.
Skate rentals will be on site and given on a first come, first serve basis. The number of skates may be limited, so bring your own pair of skates if you have them and limit your skate time to 30 minutes, if others are waiting to rent skates. Buhr Park recommends bringing an extra pair of thick socks in case you need to go up a size in skates. If you are a new skater, bringing and wearing a helmet is recommended (bike helmets work great).
Please note that this event is only for Logan families (non-logan siblings are included) and we cannot accommodate additional friends or family members.
Rec & Ed Opportunity Kids Power Karate
Give your 2nd–6th grader a fun and energetic Friday evening activity! Offered through Ann Arbor Rec & Ed and PKSA Karate, this beginner martial arts class helps kids build coordination, strength, confidence, and focus—all in a supportive, positive environment. The 6-session series begins January 16, and scholarships are available. See the full description and register here. Questions? Call Laura at 734-994-2300 x53186.
