Welcome back after a snowy weekend! I’m just returning from lunch recess, and the kids were having a blast playing in the snow! I hope they had as much fun in the snow this weekend as they’re having today!

You’re Invited for NAAPID!
NAAPID is the day we celebrate the importance of the role of parents in each child's education. This year, NAAPID will be on Monday, February 14, 20222. On this day, we invite all parents and adult family members to visit Logan Elementary virtually. According to NAAPID founder, Joe Dulin " Education is the key to success and parents are educators' greatest allies." Please consider joining your Logan Leopard’s class virtually for some portion of your day during NAAPID!
This year, we’re inviting parents into our classrooms via Zoom for many different shared experiences:
Students may share poems, writing, artwork, etc.
You may experience a shared read-aloud with the class
Parents may read, share about their career, or share about their culture
You may experience math games with your student
Individual teachers will communicate classroom specific plans to their classes. We also created this document with zoom links so families can easily access their children’s classes. We’re still adding a few more links.
Young 5s/Kindergarten Round Up
Logan is hosting our Young 5s/Kindergarten Round Up this Wednesday, February 9 at 6:00pm. If you have an incoming Young5 or Kindergarten student, we hope you’ll join us. If you know of any potential families who are considering Logan, please invite them to join us as well. The event will take place via zoom.

You can register for Kindergarten or Young 5s online. The online registration process (InfoSnap) can be found at the Ann Arbor School’s website on the enrollment page.
Bus Route Suspension - Reminder
Bus 76 (AM and PM) and Bus 148 (AM and PM) will be suspend for the reminder of the week. Transportation will notify if these bus routes will resume next week and if there will be any additional bus route suspensions. Families of students on these suspended routes will have to find alternate transportation to and from school. I apologize again for the challenge this creates for families.
