Logan MLK Day Community Service Project

Logan’s PTSO will be sponsoring a community service project to honor the work of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. We are collecting supplies for HouseN2Home, and organization that helps people transition to new homes after experiencing homelessness. You can participate by donating supplies. You can also get your children involved by volunteering to pack household care kits on MLK Day. Full details are outlined on the flier below.

University of Michigan School of Education MLK Children and Youth Program

The University of Michigan School of Education is resuming its annual in-person MLK Children and Youth Program on January 16, 2023.  It is the 25th Anniversary of the program, and Pre-K through 12th-grade students are invited to this special celebration and commemoration of the legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. More information can be found here

Young 5s/Kindergarten Round Up

Logan is hosting our Young 5s/Kindergarten Round Up on Wednesday, February 8 at 6:00pm. If you have an incoming Young 5s or Kindergarten student, we hope you’ll join us. If you know of any potential families who are considering Logan, please invite them to join us as well. The event will take place in person here at Logan.

Registration for the upcoming school year is not yet open, but you can find information about registration on the Ann Arbor Public School’s website on the enrollment page.  As soon as registration opens, we encourage families to apply. Accurate enrollment numbers will help us to plan for the next school year. Additionally, our Young 5s program can fill up. If you hope to enroll in Young 5s, please apply early to secure a space.

AAPS Mask Mandate

The Ann Arbor Public Schools has instituted a mask mandate. Masks will be required while indoors from January 9 through January 20. Extra masks will be available in classrooms and in the main office at Logan. Please remember to keep your child home if they are experiencing respiratory symptoms, fever or vomiting/diarrhea. See When to Keep a Child Home from School Due to Illness. If your child is diagnosed with RSV, influenza or COVID, please report their case to your school so that we may better understand the illnesses circulating in our AAPS school communities. For COVID, report the case using this form and follow isolation guidance.
