Summer EBT Program
This upcoming summer, eligible families will be able to receive money for select food items through the new Summer EBT program. To receive the Summer EBT benefit, every family must have an approved student eligibility benefit (free or reduced) through their school.
Many families have already done this, but this is one last request for families who have not yet filled out an EBT or EBF application form. Turning in the application form to your school or online will ensure those who qualify will receive summer benefits.
What students are eligible?
Below are the annual income requirements along with the number of total people in the household (1-8). The household income must be equal to or under the amounts to qualify for summer benefits.
Applications and Education Benefit Forms must be received by February 1 2024. The BEST way to apply is online:https://annarbor.familyportal.cloud/ From there, choose "Apply for Benefits" then "Application" (non-CEP schools) or "Education Benefit Form" (CEP schools). AAPS CEP schools include:
Allen - Abbot - Bryant - Carpenter - Lakewood - Mitchell - Pattengill - Pittsfield - Scarlett - Pathways
If paper forms are needed, you can print one out at this link here along with instructions and available in multiple languages. Please send the hard copy to your school by February 1.
Families can inquire about their benefit status or check if they have an application on file, by contacting AAPS Chartwells Food Service at (734) 994-2265 or email bollingere@aaps.k12.mi.us.
Reminders About Reporting COVID Cases
We have had a few phone calls from families who have had questions about AAPS’s policies for reporting COVID cases. Here you will find information about district policies including a link for reporting cases. You will also find guidance for when students can return to school. To help minimize illness in our schools, we ask that you keep your children home from school when they’re feeling sick. Here you’ll find specific guidance on when to keep them home.
