Dear Logan Families,

Welcome back and happy New Year! I hope everyone had a wonderful break. There’s been a lot of excitement and spirit in the building today as we wait for Michigan to play in the National Championship tonight. It’s fun to see many kids wearing their Maize and Blue. At lunch today, a bunch of kindergarteners wanted to tell me that their parents had already told them that they could stay up late to watch the game tonight. We’ll anticipate some sleepy children tomorrow! If you’re a Michigan football fan, Go Blue!

In this Weekly Update, I’ve included information about:

  • AAPS Enrollment for 2024-25 Open

  • Logan’s Office Needs Pants and Leggings

  • Important Upcoming Dates

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me. And don’t forget to visit the PTSO eBackpack blog linked in the Useful Links section.

Sincerely,

Will Wright

AAPS Enrollment for 2024-25 Open

Enrollment for the 2024-25 school year opened on Monday, January 8th. The first application window for AAPS In-District Transfer and the ONLY application window for the Community High Lottery and Ann Arbor Open Lottery is Monday, January 8, 2024, to Wednesday, February 14, 2024. This first AAPS In-District Transfer Window only applies to those seeking a placement other than their geographically assigned school for the fall of 2024 at the following levels: Young-Fives, Grades 9 & 10, and Grade 11 for IB. Enrollment is open for new families to apply to their neighborhood school for next year as well. More information about enrollment can be found here

***If you have a child who will be enrolling in our Young 5s program, please apply during this enrollment period. Spaces can fill up quickly. This includes families who live in Logan’s attendance area. You MUST apply during this window as well. More information on Young 5s and Kindergarten can be found here

Logan’s Office Needs Pants and Leggings

We are running low on extra pants and leggings in the office. If your kids have pants they’ve outgrown, consider donating to Logan. We are looking for all sizes. Please do not send jeans or other structured pants. Sweatpants and leggings work best. Thanks in advance!
