In-District Transfer (IDT) Window Now Open

IDT applications are being accepted from February 26 - March 29. IDT is for families that live within the boundaries of the Ann Arbor Public School district but would like to attend a school that is not their zoned school. More information on In-District Transfers can be found here

Families who are currently enrolled at Logan do not need to apply. Only families who wish to attend a different school would need to apply. If you know any families who live outside our attendance area and wish to enroll at Logan, please let them know the IDT window is now open.

***Fifth grade families who are currently enrolled at Logan under a School of Choice enrollment  or an In-District Transfer enrollment will need to apply for IDT to attend Clague if Clague is not your home school and you wish for your child to go there next year.

Free Dental Care for Children! Give Kids A Smile Day 2024
We are excited to share the news that Give Kids A Smile Day will be taking place again this year on Saturday March 16th, 2024 from 8am-noon at the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. Give Kids A Smile Day is an annual event held countrywide run by faculty, dental students, and dental hygiene students to provide free dental care for children regardless of insurance status. Our mission is to provide the underserved pediatric populations of the southeast Michigan community with much needed oral health care as well as the education to prevent dental disease and promote lifelong oral health.

On Saturday March 16th, from 8am to noon, dental exams, cleanings, x-rays and possibly sealants will be provided for free regardless of insurance status for children ages 4-14 on a first-come, first-serve basis by qualified dental students and hygiene students.

For more information including location details, visit their website at www.gkasumich.org. All children must be pre-registered using the form on the website or by clicking this link.

2024 Ann Arbor Rotary Club Fights Child Hunger Food Drive

Each spring, the Ann Arbor Rotary Club partners with Food Gatherers in a campaign to fight child hunger in our community. The AAPS is pleased to continue our participation in the 2024 drive, beginning Monday, March 4 - Friday, March 15.

The 2024 drive will include collecting nonperishable food at participating AAPS buildings. Food donations are always appreciated and provide an excellent way to involve our students in this vital effort.

Staff and community members are encouraged to make financial donations, as Food Gatherers is able to use their bulk buying power to efficiently distribute more food in our community. For every $5 donated, Food Gatherers can provide 10 meals to our hungry neighbors.

  • The 2024 Rotary Fights Child Hunger donation drive goal is to gather food and funds to provide 100,000 meals.

  • Donations of $25 or more made through the Rotary drive will be matched dollar-for-dollar up to $10,000. A gift of $25 provides enough food for 100 meals when you include the match!

Please consider donating either non perishable food items or making a financial donation to food gathers. You can donate directly to Logan’s team page here. Donations made to team/individual pages also qualify for matching funds.

Thank you in advance for your contributions in support of our local community.
