Aerospace Day hosted by The University of Michigan’s American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics

The University of Michigan’s American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) Student Branch is sponsoring Aerospace Day on Saturday, April 12, 2025, from 9 AM to 4 PM. Aerospace Day is an annual event providing students from the surrounding schools/local community an opportunity to see everything that aerospace engineering at the University of Michigan has to offer! This year’s Aerospace Day is now open to grades K-12. We have numerous project teams, organizations and labs that will work with students on hands-on projects, demos, games, presentations, etc., throughout the course of the day. The linked information packet for parents/guardians contains information on how to sign up and the general plans for the day.

Class Placement Parent Input Form - Reminder

Each Spring, our staff works to create class lists for the next school year. We consider many factors when we are developing class lists including: academic and social factors, students who require additional support (ex: ELL, Special Education Services, Reading Intervention,) ethnicity, and gender. Additionally, we seek input from families to help inform our decisions. Please use the linked form  to give us input about your child’s placement next year. ALL families in grades Y5-4 should complete the form. In addition to getting input about class placement, we gather information about who is returning and who is not. Please know that we value your input and want to hear from everyone.  However, our primary obligation is to develop class lists that are balanced and will best serve ALL students.  Therefore, we cannot guarantee any specific placements or requests. Please submit your input by April 25.

Logan Family Traditions and Heritage Festival - Reminder

The 2025 Logan Family Festival will take place on Friday, April 25th, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM in the Multipurpose Room/Gym. Families are invited to share a favorite dish by submitting their contribution by Monday, April 14th. Participating families should bring their dish to the gym between 5:30 and 5:45 PM on the day of the event, ensuring it is labeled and includes a list of ingredients. Flyers with more details will be sent home in students' Friday Folders. Attendees can also look forward to local sponsored activities and an exciting performance by The Apex Club, featuring yo-yo tricks, hip-hop, glowsticking, and staffing.
