Dear Logan Families,
Last week, Logan students were treated to a special performance by the Toledo Opera on Wheels! They performed an adaptation of Beauty and the Beast. This program brought live opera right to our school, and students really enjoyed the music, story, and performances! We are so grateful to the Logan PTSO for sponsoring this enriching event. To learn more about the Opera on Wheels program, visit Toledo Opera’s website.

Early Release Reminder
Wednesday, April 23, 2025 is an Early Release Day. Students will be dismissed at 1:00pm. All families must ensure that they have a plan for their children at the end of the day on early release days.
Rec & Ed Before Care Available for Logan Families in Fall 2025
Attention Logan families! Rec & Ed will be offering both Before and After Care in the fall. Please mark your calendars for Thursday, May 15, at 10:00 a.m. to register your students for the Before and/or After Care program.
Please note that Before Care must have at least 12 registered participants to open.
Friday Folder Advertising
We need your help! As we begin preparing for our 2025–2026 school folders, we’re reaching out to see if any of our families own or work for a business that would be interested in advertising in our Friday Folders. National School Folders generously provides the Friday Folders we use every week free of charge to all Logan families, but due to rising printing and material costs, they now require schools to help meet a minimum number of ad sales to continue offering this service. Advertising is a great way to promote your business while supporting our school, and school-affiliated businesses receive a 33% discount. Families can also choose to do a personal sponsorship for just $75. If you're interested or have any questions, please contact Bob Lundwall at 586-405-1144 or email lundwallbob@gmail.com. Thank you for supporting Logan!
The Tappan Players are performing Moana Jr.
The Tappan Players are performing Disney’s Moana JR. at Tappan Middle School on May 2nd at 7:00 p.m., May 3 at 2:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. and May 4th at 2:00 p.m. The 60-minute musical adventure is based on the 2016 Disney film Moana and will be fun for all ages!

PTOC $20 for $30k Fundraiser Update
Last month, the PTO Council launched their 2025 $20 for $30k Fundraiser, and fundraising is off to a great start. With a month to go, the fundraiser is ⅔ of the way to its goal. You can help on this home stretch! Please consider donating $20 (or more) to help increase Ann Arbor Title I schools’ per pupil spending. If you can’t donate at this time, help spread the word about the fundraiser in our community. Join the effort to create equitable educational opportunities for every child in Ann Arbor!
Class Placement Parent Input Form - LAST CHANCE!
Each Spring, our staff works to create class lists for the next school year. We consider many factors when we are developing class lists including: academic and social factors, students who require additional support (ex: ELL, Special Education Services, Reading Intervention,) ethnicity, and gender. Additionally, we seek input from families to help inform our decisions. Please use the linked form to give us input about your child’s placement next year. ALL families in grades Y5-4 should complete the form. In addition to getting input about class placement, we gather information about who is returning and who is not. Please know that we value your input and want to hear from everyone. However, our primary obligation is to develop class lists that are balanced and will best serve ALL students. Therefore, we cannot guarantee any specific placements or requests. Please submit your input by April 25.
