Welcoming Volunteers Back at Logan

In her recent Superintendent Update, Dr. Swift shared that schools would begin welcoming volunteers back into the buildings. We are thrilled to welcome our parents and community members back at Logan! We will begin welcoming parents back to support in the library (see below), a limited number of volunteers in our classrooms, and volunteer coaches for Science Olympiad.

In welcoming volunteers back into our buildings, AAPS will require:

  1. a submitted and cleared volunteer background check form

  2. proof of full COVID-19 vaccination

  3. all volunteers shall watch a short orientation video that highlights AAPS health and safety protocols including our COVID mitigation measures. Please note that at this time, all volunteers must wear a mask while in the building.

To assist with these steps, all volunteers should complete this form. The information provided will allow us to run your background check, document your proof of vaccination, and ensure volunteers have watched our orientation video.

Welcome back Logan families! We can’t wait to see you!

Library Volunteers Needed

Volunteering in the Logan Library is an opportunity to directly impact Logan students!  Logan’s Librarian, Mrs. Rodriguez, enthusiastically welcomes you to take part in the Library program.  Volunteers may work individually or in pairs to:

  • Sort, organize, and shelve books

  • Organize & tidy shelves

  • Assist students in the library

  • Check books in and out

  • Repair damaged books

  • Apply labels and protective covering to new library books

  • Create signage or displays

All volunteers must complete the above process before volunteering in the library. Once you are approved to volunteer, you can start volunteering in the library. Here is a link to the Library Volunteer Interest Form. We hope many of you will be able to join the crew in the Logan Library!

Food Deliveries at Logan

We’ve now had a few instances of families using delivery services like Grubhub or DoorDash to deliver food to their kids at school. Please refrain from doing this. We do not have the staff to manage these deliveries. If your child forgets their lunch, please let us know and we’ll be happy to provide a school lunch. Thanks for your cooperation.

Report Cards Reminder

Report cards will be sent home electronically on Friday, March 11 after 4:00pm. If you do not receive an email by Friday evening, please wait until Monday morning to contact our office to request a copy of your child’s report card. IEP progress reports will also be sent home as hard copies on Friday, March 11, 2022.
