Driveline and Dismissal
Driveline numbers were sent out yesterday, and new families will receive a hangtag with their Driveline number by the end of the week. Returning families should continue using their tag from last year.
Driveline is the dismissal system we use at Logan to ensure a safe and orderly end to the school day. We ask all families to carefully review the dismissal procedures in the Logan Families Handbook. A few key reminders:
Bus zone: Buses park next to the lower elementary playground. Parents should not enter the back parking lot—there is no car drop-off or pick-up allowed there.
Car line: Parents picking up in the car line must remain in their vehicle. If you wish to meet your child at their classroom, please park in the Logan parking lot or along Traver Blvd.
Moving forward: Cars in the pick-up line should pull all the way forward. Continue moving up as space opens. Do not leave gaps, and do not load students until you reach the front steps.
Crosswalks: Always cross at the crosswalk and wait for staff to stop traffic. Please do not walk between cars with children.
Exiting Logan: Remember—right turn only when leaving campus. The Ann Arbor Police Department does patrol the area, and we want everyone to avoid tickets.
Patience and safety: Above all, please be patient. Safety is our top priority. Our staff are there to ensure a safe and smooth dismissal, so thank you for following their directions.
Volunteering at Logan
Interested in volunteering at Logan? We’d love to have you! But first, all adults must complete a background check prior to volunteering at Logan. This includes working in our classrooms, helping out in the lunchroom, supporting in the library, and going on field trips. You must complete the background check every school year, even if you completed it in a previous year. Please click on the link below for directions.
My Stop Bus Arrival App
My Stop is a free desktop and mobile app that provides parents access to bus route information such as a child’s assigned bus, bus stop location and updates on the estimated time of arrival at the bus stop. My Stop allows parents and students to plan for late or on-time arrival and prevent missed pick-ups. We are aware of a 1–2-minute lag that may occur as the bus route information is being processed and transmitted to the app through the GPS system. We continue to work with My Stop to improve this issue.
Please still have your student at their bus stop 10 minutes before the posted arrival time.
Instructions on how to set up My Stop from the app store as well as My Stop FAQs are below.

New Logan ES @ Clague News - August 2025
To support construction of the new Logan Elementary, the following activities will take place on the Clague Middle School campus, and are referenced on the site plan below. To see all of the information related to this project in one place, please click here to visit the New Logan Elementary page and feel free to bookmark the page to revisit, as content will continue to be posted.
New Clague vehicle traffic patterns are identified in blue below. The entry has changed and is now accessible from Bluett Road. Please note: entry is no longer available from Nixon Road.
In Progress Activities, Weather Permitting:
Ongoing utility work.
Site grading and excavating for foundations continues.
The construction manager will be installing Geothermal Heating, Cooling & Ventilation system as early as the first week of September, which represents a change from the posted schedule online.
AAPS has an emerging opportunity at the Logan/Clague site to significantly move up timing on the geothermal drilling operation from Winter 2026 to September 2025. Geothermal is critical to the mechanical system start up as the system relies heavily on the geothermal bore field, this will allow more time to commission the HVAC system before school opens.
Additionally, it may help AAPS turn over some play fields, outdoor areas, etc. to Clague MS sooner than anticipated.
This work can be done without creating significant disruption to school operations, similar to the bore field that was recently completed at Mitchell ES while summer school was in session.
Drilling crews typically operate from 7am to 7pm Monday through Saturday, within the City of Ann Arbor Noise Ordinance and is expected to take about 5-6 months.
Please note:
Construction parking and construction access drives are for construction personnel only and to ensure safety, staff and parents should refrain from using construction parking and/or drives.
Emails will continue to be sent, to provide updates on campus activities.
This new elementary school is made possible by Bond and Sinking Funds. Ann Arbor Public Schools wishes to thank the Community for the continued support of the Capital Program Bond and Sinking Funds.
AAPS Capital Program’s objective is to transform the student learning experience with the goal of providing for the health, safety, and well-being of all students in high-quality, equitable, and environmentally sustainable schools.
