Dear Logan Families,
Happy October, Logan families! It’s hard to believe we’re already a month into the school year. Today was especially exciting for our youngest learners. The Ann Arbor Fire Department visited Logan to teach our Y5–1st grade students about fire safety. The students loved meeting real firefighters, learning about their equipment, getting to see the fire trucks, and learning important lessons about staying safe.
In this Weekly Update, I’ve included important information about:
Logan Fun Run Fundraising Goal Met! Let’s see if we can exceed it!
AAPS Breakfast & Lunch Update - Universal Free Breakfast and Lunch Continued

If you have any questions or concerns, please feel free to contact me.

AAPS Breakfast & Lunch Update - Universal Free Breakfast and Lunch Continued
The Ann Arbor Public Schools is pleased to announce that we will be able to provide free breakfast and lunch to ALL students for the rest of this school year.
Last week, the Michigan legislature passed a state budget for the 2025-26 year, including the K-12 education budget that provides funding for school meals for all students. It is still important for ALL AAPS families to fill out the Education Benefit Form (EBF) to check for qualification for free and reduced meals:
The EBF form also helps AAPS qualify for important additional funding for instructional staff, social workers, counselors, nurses and technology.
Hand Sanitizer Bottle Donations Needed
AAPS is no longer providing hand sanitizer bottles to schools, and we like to keep a supply on hand in classrooms and common areas. If you’re able, please consider donating a large pump-style bottle of hand sanitizer to help us restock. Donations can be sent in with your child or dropped off in the main office. Thank you for helping us keep everyone healthy this fall!
