Respond to Hybrid Survey
Today is the last day to respond to the Hybrid Learning Survey. The surveys were sent on 2/26 and reminders have been sent since then. The email containing the survey came from A2Schools@aaps.k12.mi.us with the subject “Return to In-School Hybrid Learning. Parents who don’t see the message can use this information to search their inbox, spam folder, etc. Families with more than one student will get multiple messages with identical header information. Depending on your email configuration, these may be combined in a strand or conversation group. If you have any questions, please see the Parent Information Meeting recording and slides posted on Logan’s webpage. As always, you can also reach out to me or your child’s teacher as well. Please respond to the survey by the end of the day today.
Young Five/Kindergarten Round Up Reminder
We’ll be hosting our Round Up event this Wednesday, March 10 at 6:00pm. Please help us spread the word. The event will take place via Zoom webinar. The link can be found on the Logan Community Calendar. I’ve pasted it below as well.
Breakfast and Lunch Options for Hybrid Learning
Student School Breakfast and Lunches are Free for the rest of the school year but you must order lunch for your student. Families will need to order student lunches using the new
AAPS Online Student Lunch Ordering system. For the rest of this school year families will not be charged for breakfast or lunch but you must register for the program at sendmoneytoschool.com in order for your student to receive a free lunch on their hybrid in-school learning day. Questions? Contact AAPS Food Service at 734-994-2265.
March is Reading Month
March is Youth Art Month!!! Here in Ann Arbor Public Schools we have some exciting plans to celebrate In art class during the week of March 8th all elementary students will take part in preparing a favorite artwork for display. They will be directed to ask a grown-up to tape up their art along with a title card and a homemade “YAM” (Youth Art Month) logo in the front windows or doors of their homes, or if need be in other locations where people will get to enjoy them. In lieu of our usual displays downtown, we will transform the neighborhoods of Ann Arbor into galleries! The AAPS art department appreciates your help making this happen, and hopes your family will be able to celebrate with an Art Walk around your own neighborhood during the second half of the month. Art should be up by 3/15.
Additionally, all students are invited to participate in an exciting public art project! If you want to know more, check out this Information Sheet all about the FoolMoon Mandala Project, sponsored by WonderFool Productions and facilitated by TreeTown Murals. The link includes submission details, dates, instructions and a demo video."

Connecting Together: An AAPS Parent/Guardian Support Group
Twice-a-month Drop in support groups for parents and guardians of student's in AAPS. Groups meet on the 2nd Tuesday (7:30-8:30PM) and 4th Thursday (1-2PM) of the month. Connect with other parents to find support and get ideas about how to face the challenges of 2020. Please register here. Last year, parents who participated in an AAPS parent support group consistently reported that they found it helpful, and appreciated hearing from and connecting with other parents going through similar struggles. We also offer parent support groups in Spanish, Korean, Chinese, Arabic and Japanese. See the dates for these groups and register for bilingual groups here.
