Class Placement Parent Input Form

Each Spring, our staff works to create class lists for the next school year. We consider many factors when we are developing class lists including: academic and social factors, students who require additional support (ex: ELL, Special Education Services, Reading Intervention,) ethnicity, and gender. Additionally, we seek input from families to help inform our decisions. Please use the linked form  to give us input about your child’s placement next year. ALL families in grades Y5-4 should complete the form. In addition to getting input about class placement, we gather information about who is returning and who is not. Please know that we value your input and want to hear from everyone.  However, our primary obligation is to develop class lists that are balanced and will best serve ALL students.  Therefore, we cannot guarantee any specific placements or requests. Please submit your input by March 27.

Logan’s Office Needs Pants and Leggings

We are running low on extra pants and leggings in the office. If your kids have pants they’ve outgrown, consider donating to Logan. We are looking for sizes 10 and up. Please do not send jeans or other structured pants. Sweatpants and leggings work best. Thanks in advance!

We also encourage families to keep a change of clothes in your child’s backpack and to send boots/extra shoes. As the weather warms, our playground can get muddy!

Pi(e) Day at Logan

Hello Logan Families!

Help our Logan Leopards celebrate Pi(e) Day this year! Donate a sweet pie (blueberry, apple, chocolate, etc.) to our Pi(e) Day celebration so that every child gets a slice of deliciousness on March 13. We are hoping for 27 pies this year!

Please drop your pies off at the Logan Office on March 12 or March 13. If your pie requires refrigeration, please drop it off the morning of March 13. Homemade and store bought pies are acceptable. *If your pie is allergen-friendly, please mark it accordingly.*

If your child is observing Ramadan, we will offer them a slice of pie wrapped up to take home.

Additionally, we are looking for volunteers to help pass out the pies during lunch. If you sign up, please comment what time you can join us. We appreciate volunteers helping for all of part of lunch. Below is the schedule.

The Teacher of the Year Program recognizes the great contribution teachers make in Washtenaw County and to the learning community.  This award recognizes and honors teacher experience.  It does not attempt to select the "best" teacher; but rather, to identify, from among many outstanding teachers, one teacher to serve as a visible and vocal representative of what is best in the profession.
